I took this photo during a trip up North. I visited the Beamish Museum in Durham and learned about the railway network used by colliery owners, where I snapped this shot. To me this photo satisfies the literal meaning behind your prompt but also symbolises the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ that mining boys may have pondered on during long work days when they were stuck indoors working at The Colliery Railway.
